Dear students and prospective students:

In the name of our staff, I welcome you to the web pages of the Studentenwerk Potsdam.

As students in Brandenburg an der Havel, Wildau, and Potsdam, the Studentenwerk Potsdam is your partner for service-related concerns pertaining to your studies.

Our services include financing your studies, providing culinary services through our dining facilities and cafeterias, and providing housing for students in our residence halls. We also support student cultural and recreational projects, provide assistance for child care for students with children, and offer a job service as well as social counselling and psychotherapeutic counselling for students.

As a modern service-oriented organization, this is our contribution towards facilitating the opportunities for the future generation.

The Studentenwerk Potsdam’s field of responsibility

The Studentenwerk Potsdam is responsible for students studying at the following institutes of higher learning:

• Academy for Film and Television “Konrad Wolf” (Hochschule für Film und Fernsehen „Konrad Wolf“)
• University of Applied Sciences Potsdam (Fachhochschule Potsdam)
• University of Applied Sciences Wildau (Technischen Hochschule Wildau [FH])
• Brandenburg University of Applied Sciences (Fachhochschule Brandenburg)

The central office of the Studentenwerk is located in the central railway station.

Applications for BAföG and for welcome money can also be obtained at the Studentenwerk Potsdam’s service point. You can also sign up for the international student identity card at the service point.

You can buy laundry cards for the washing machines in the residence halls here as well.
